Universal Components - Suspension Parts KELLETT was founded in 1908 and began with the repair and production of leaf springs.
After studying the situation on the market for non-original spare parts for trucks, the company focused on distributing spare parts for this developing sector. Managers and staff allowed the company to move from manufacturing to wholesale. In 1995, the company was sold to the Spalding group of companies, which allowed it to enter new market sectors, such as agriculture and the tools market. In 1999, Kellet was sold to the Lex Group of Companies and received a new name Multipart Kellet, and soon Multipart Universal. At the end of September 2004, Gary Hadley bought Multipart Universal. The company receives a new name Universal Components UK Ltd and becomes an independent organization.
