Early 1930s - Raymond Gerrick, a tool maker, had neither education nor savings, but he had an idea ... to use the mass production technologies he studied while working with Henry Ford to assemble refrigeration compressors.

1934 - Gerrick founded Tecumseh Products in Tekamse, Michigan. The company was destined to become the largest independent manufacturer of refrigeration compressors.

1938 - Tecumseh revolutionizes the industry with the release of the first hermetic compressor, which significantly increases the reliability and durability of the device. Since 1939, the company began to produce 160,000 compressors annually.

1940 - World War II - Thousands of patriots, men and women served their nations. Private companies and citizens of the whole world were involved in the war. Tecumseh applied its know-how for mass production of a record amount of 40mm projectiles.

After the war - the world suffered enormous damage, food storage equipment was in great demand. Tecumseh shared its technology and began interacting with foreign licensees. After the war, demand for refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners took off. In 1947, the Tecumseh compressor was used in the first window air conditioner. 1950 - Tecumseh produced 2 million compressors. Soon we presented a compressor for car air conditioning. Demand for such devices grew exponentially and by 1954 Tecumseh compressors were at the core of 48 percent of all cooling plants. By the mid-50s, sales reached $ 124 million.

Beginning 1960 - We became the largest manufacturer of compressors in America, our products were used in 70 percent of all freezers, window air conditioners, air conditioners for cars (except General Motors), and 30 percent of all refrigerators. We produce on four continents for customers around the world. We do not stop looking for partners and the opportunity to embody the philosophy of our founders - to produce the highest quality compressors at low prices. As a result, people all over the world enjoy the best quality of life.
