The 4.4 hectare factory complex, headquartered at 915 King Street West (now part of the Liberty Village area), has become one of the city’s most famous sites. Massey constantly expanded production, increased sales and went international. Thanks to an extensive advertising campaign, he turned the company into one of the most famous brands in Canada. The lack of workers throughout the country also contributed to the growth of the attractiveness of mechanized equipment on the market. In 1910, Massey-Harris bought the company Johnston Harvester, located in the city of Batavia, New York, thus becoming one of the first transnational companies in Canada.
