CFMoto was founded in 1989 as a small workshop for the repair and manufacture of engines. At first, she was based in the garage of one of the founders, and only when things went uphill did she move to the production premises. Self-developed motors began to be manufactured in 1996. The first motorcycles appeared in 2000, and ATVs - in 2004.

Unique to the Chinese manufacturer of motorcycles is that CFMoto focuses on the manufacture of motorcycles, not scooters, but also focuses on the export market, rather than on the domestic, whose capacity is estimated at 14 million motorcycles per year.

The brand was able to attract attention in the international arena due to participation in sporting events. The development of the 650-cc engine helped CFMoto take its place among the global manufacturers of road motorcycles. Two successful models played a significant role in this: the 650NK and the 650TK based on it.

The appearance of the motorcycle almost completely repeats the model Kawasaki ER-6n. Although the models lag behind the Japanese competitors in quality, they represent a major breakthrough in the field of motorcycle manufacturing for the entire Chinese industry.

The brand in a short time won a large market share in countries such as Russia, Sweden and Germany. Also, its sales are large in Australia and New Zealand, where it is the fifth largest in terms of motorcycle sales.

Official sales of the brand in Russia began in 2007, when the company “AVM-Trade” was formed, which became a CFMoto distributor. Motorcycle sales started in 2012. The brand quickly became popular with Russian buyers due to the low cost and reliability of motorcycles. The CFMoto model range in Russia consists of five models: the classic lightweight motorcycle 150 Leader, 650 TK, the sporty 150 TK, a mixture of classic and streetfighter 650 NK, and also the maxiscooter 250 JETMAX.

The 150 NK motorcycle, which added to the brand's lineup in 2015, is meant for trips around the city. It is distinguished by good driving characteristics, economical engine and bright, sporty appearance. The design of the model was borrowed from the previous year’s flagship - 650 NK, which was warmly received by the public all over the world. Its 150cc single-cylinder engine produces 12 hp. power at 9000 rpm and 10.7 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm.

The Maxiscuter CFMoto 250 JETMAX is also designed for city driving and combines high driving comfort and a bright design. It is equipped with four waterproof speakers and a built-in audio system with a USB port, hydraulic braking system, LCD instrument panel, adjustable blowing deflectors for supplying warm air to the driver's area. Aerodynamic windshield has a design that reduces air resistance. In its lower part small-sized headlights are placed, giving the motorcycle a unique style.

CFMOTO 250 JETMAX is driven by a 250-cc water-cooled, 22-hp electronic fuel injection engine. at 8000 rpm and 21 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The motor is aggregated with a variator.
