CASE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT

Case is one of the world's leading manufacturers of agricultural and construction machinery. The company is headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. The headquarters of the European division is located in Paris, France.

The company's history begins in 1842, when inventor Jerome Increase Case started the production of threshers in the city of Racine. The company was named after its inventor Case. It is worth noting that Case is the first manufacturer of steam engines for agricultural machinery, which later turned the company into the largest supplier and manufacturer of steam engines.

In 1912, Case decides to enter the road construction market. It was at this time that the company began producing steam rollers and graders.

Since 1957, Case has been expanding its business by acquiring other companies. First, she acquired a small privately-owned firm, American Tractor Corporation, which developed and manufactured backhoes for tracked excavators. At the same time, Case is developing a prototype agricultural wheeled tractor, the main innovation of which was the back shovel and the loader bucket in the front. Thus, a new model of the tractor, Case Model 320 backhoe loader, appeared.

Thanks to its merger with American Tractor Corporation, Concord Inc., International Harvest, Poclain, Fermec Holding Ltd., Bor-Mor Inc., Austoft Holding Ltd, Case has become a global manufacturer of light and medium-sized construction equipment.

In September 1998, the Case crawler excavators began to be produced together with the Japanese manufacturer Sumitomo. The companies announced the creation of a global strategic union for the production and sale of this type of equipment. And in 1999, after the merger of the company with New Holland, a Case New Holland (CNH) concert appeared.

The rights to manufacture a line of its utility trenchers and rigs Case transferred to Astec Industries Inc. in 2002 after joining the alliance with her.

Now in the line of the American company there are the following types of equipment: Case excavators (wheeled and tracked), articulated dump trucks, bulldozers, tracked and wheeled excavators, backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, telescopic loaders, bulldozers.

Currently, CNH includes three brands of agricultural machinery (Case IH, New Holland Ag, Steyr) and three brands of construction equipment (Case Construction Equipment, New Holland Construction, Kobelco).
